Sav Fre Hadfow (/sav/ /fre/ [middle] [microscope]) is a temperate Large City located in the Trëyön Moot of the Rosid.

The name Sav Fre Hadfow is derived from the Sylvin language, as Sav Fre Hadfow was founded by Vethakh, who was culturaly Wood Elf.

Climate

Sav Fre Hadfow has a yearly average temperature of 15°C (59°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 24°C (75°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 6°C (42°F). Sav Fre Hadfow receives an average of 115 cm/y (45 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the brutaly long winter months. Sav Fre Hadfow covers an area of nearly 72 km2 (28 mi2), and an average elevation of 4736 m (15538 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Sav Fre Hadfow was founded durring the early 17th century in early fall of the year 1608, by Vethakh. The establishment of Sav Fre Hadfow was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Vethakh struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Sav Fre Hadfow as a prison colony.

Sav Fre Hadfow was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the early 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Sav Fre Hadfow is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Sav Fre Hadfow is buildings are arranged arround a network of spacious cobblestone streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city rests behind the absurdity that is a thick, timber braced, wall made of clay bricks. While visualy impressive and certainly an astetic, Sav Fre Hadfow's wall provides no actual defence against siege equipment due to the choice of its cosntruction materials. Even nonexperts can tell the town is trying to impress rather than defend with its walls, towers, and gatehouses. Though admittedly, they do look nice... To primitive tribals who have never seen fortifications before. Sav Fre Hadfow's political statment focused walls are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Sav Fre Hadfow has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Sav Fre Hadfow’s streets.

Cultural Notes

Sav Fre Hadfow's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

In Sav Fre Hadfow during thunderstorms, with each flash of lightning, everyone sees different monsters from the corner of their eyes.
